Very soon Ayurveda will also become a global phenomenon like yoga....

As we know that the Ayurveda is a science of life that deals with the problems of longevity, and suggests a safe, gentle, and effective way to rid diseases afflicting our health. Ayurveda is regarded as the fifth Veda- by its virtue-and has been practiced in India for thousands of years, Medicinal plants and their utility are widely described in the Vedas; especially in Athar Veda. To understand Ayurveda, it is necessary that we should have a good knowledge of its basic principles. 


Ayurveda has been considered the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundations of all others. Buddhism. Taoism, Tibetan, and other cultural medicines have very similar parallels to Ayurveda. the secrets of Ayurveda's individualized healing methods were preserved in India. 

The alert person may now ask, why if Ayurveda is so important, it is not widely practiced all over the world. This is a valid question, which has an equally valid answer. Ayurveda, like all Vedic philosophy, adheres to the belief of Sanatan Dharma, or accepting everything in its appropriate time and place, and rejecting nothing. All aspects of medicines may be useful, but the appropriate treatment must be used when required. This is why Ayurveda does not reject modern medicine.
 
It has been seen very often, the modern medicines also recommend many tonics, multivitamin tablets, and other immune-boosting drugs that are made from total herbs, not with an extracted alkaloid. Is this not a global acceptance? Have you ever seen, many doctors of modern medicines advise the patient to morning walk along with taking medicine for diabetes and cholesterol etc.. many of you have ever heard that modern medicines doctors advise the patient to drink hot water after lunch and dinner? Drinking hot water is a part of the food principles of Ayurveda. These are the sign of global acceptance only. 

Now let's discuss Yoga. I would like to tell you that Yoga and Ayurveda are complementary to each other. Yoga cannot be practiced without Ayurveda and vice -versa. Rather we can say that YOGA has a very strong affinity with AYURVEDA just like we pronounce 'Q".  When we pronounce "Q", automatically 'U' will be pronounced together it means we cannot pronounce Q without pronouncing U at the last of this alphabet. Yoga has the same position as Ayurveda, and it can't be recognized separately. Yoga also following the same fundamental principles of Ayurveda.

I can put another example. Suppose, modern medicines doctors wish to diagnose a disease in the patient. He or she will write some lab tests along with medicines prescription. The medicines are manufactured in a Pharmaceutical company and the staff has B. Pharma degree or equivalent or Chemistry but not a doctor. The blood test analyzed by the lab technician is not a doctor. the X-rays and ultrasound were done by a B.Sc. radiology technician and approved by a radiologist. The collective action performed by many paramedical staff and again correlate with the history of the patient and come to conclusion at the final to the same doctor who prescribes the medicines.  In my opinion, Yoga also works like paramedical staff for Ayurveda and plays an equal role in treating any disorders diagnosed by the Physicians.

As we know that from the last decades, many changes have been seen in the lifestyle of the common people also and they always trying to go for treatment with the least side effects and in this situation, there is no alternative found safe as like Ayurveda and Yoga and now it has been seen that most of the country is accepting Ayurveda and its unique treatment methodology and thus no doubt, the medicine future is going to be secure in the had of Ayurveda and will be accepted globally.   

Health benefits of root tuber of Momordica dioica....

Momordica dioica belongs to the family Cucurbitaceae has many vernacular names in India. It is called as Dhar-karela, Khekasi Golkankara (Hindi); Vahisa (Sanskrit); Kankarol (Bengali); Aegarvalli (Tamil). This is a climbing creeper found distributed all over India. It is also called a sweet bitter gourd. Or Jangali Bitter gourd. This is also called a rainy season vegetable. Root tuber and fruits are medicinally important. Due to this farmers now started their cultivations.

Many people are very familiar with its raw fruits and enjoyed the cooked tasty vegetables but have you ever hear the root tuber of this plant is very important and is used as traditional medicines since the time of civilizations. 

Roots of the male creepers are applied in the form of paste to scorpion-sting and to ulcers caused by snake-bites. Mucilaginous root tubers of the female creepers are used in the form of electuary in doses of 1 or 2 drachms. in case of bleeding piles, similar bowel affections, and urinary complaints.  

It also acts as an expectorant. The root is pasted and applied over the body as a sedative in fevers. Powder of the root applied on the skin renders it soft and supple and lessens perspiration.

Ayurveda impact on Indian economy.....

Ayurveda, the science of life is a very ancient science that practically involves the principles of constituents of the body and treating the same by correcting the disorders. Ayurveda never recommends anything like a disease but is a disorder that might be imbalances of tri-dosha i.e. Vata, Kapha, and pitta disturbances of the body or hormonal imbalances but Ayurveda considers the hormonal disbalance also the causal factor to the tri-dosa only. As per Ayurveda, if people maintain their routine lifestyle as per the principles quoted in the shastras, the textbook of Ayurveda i.e.Niyam (Rules) and Saiyam (Regulation), man becomes Shatayu (means a person normally can live 100 years) or more than that. But nowadays luxurious life making us lethargic and lazy too. Even people very hardly going to morning walk that also after strict advice of the doctors. When a doctor told if we do not do exercise, many complications will be started then only people considering their health that is also very lesser.

No doubt, Ayurveda has gained popularity from the beginning of civilization and has been practicing many countries because its treating methodology means not suppressing disease but eliminating it from the roots and correcting causal factors so that the recurrence of the disease may not happen. 

As the Ayurveda is part of the Indian System of Medicines and is being practiced along with the Ayush system but it has its own attraction in curing of disease. Involvement of Ayurveda in human life all over the world has been seen since Covid - 19 pandemic, when it was declared that there was no vaccine or preventive measures to control corona that time the Ayurveda was only the support to teach the people how to come across the trouble of respiratory disease by teaching Anulom-Vilom, Pranayam, kapal - bhati, etc and it has given more effective treatment in the form of churn, avaleha, kadha, etc and that won the trust of people due to its positive effects. 

In fact, now every house in India is equipped with various forms of medicines that belong to the Ayurvedic System only. People also have more trust in Ayurveda in comparison to other systems of medicines due to its unique treatment methodology. The demands of Ayurvedic medicine increasing day by day, so, no doubt, in the future, Ayurveda will be highly profitable in the case of the economy in India.    

Ayurvedic product to improve singing quality of voice.....

There are many medicines that are being practiced to make the singer's voice lovely and pretty so that it can attract many audiences. Passion makes man-made sometimes it has been seen when daily rehearsal (Riyaz)  not worked to correct harsh and heavy voice, then people opt for vocal card surgery too. But it is very dangerous, most of the vocal card surgery is unable to return even the formerly existed voice. Now the question is why we make such a risk that creat life long problem to us better to select easily with to improve our voice and make fit for singing all types of songs. 

Although, many pharmaceutical companies claiming that after consuming their products the voice will be correct but I have not seen such progress as I am directly and deeply involved with Ayurveda and has solved many complaints and illnesses. Selling a product is a marketing strategy but whether it works or not it can be seen after consuming the products with a prescribed medicine course.

No, pharmaceutical companies and doctors will take guarantees to give a hundred percent cure. Here we have to think twice before starting any course. I have the best remedy for the people who are seeking an opportunity in singing but are upset due to their voice problems. I would like to disclose here two herbs very frequently used in Ayurveda especially to correct singer voices. 1. Small Galangal -   Small Galangal is known as Chhota Kulanjan in Hindi and in English, it is called Thai ginger or Siamese ginger (because it resembles fresh ginger so much). It is commonly found in India, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Scientifically it is known as Alpinia officinarum; the family Zingiberaceae. The underground stem (rhizome) is used to make medicine. People use Alpinia for fevers, muscle spasms, intestinal gas, bacterial infections, and swelling (inflammation). Though the scientific evidence of its uses is still under study it is being used as folk medicine since ancient times. The same, I have taken and practically found working, so, I can recommend to others.

2. Other herbs are Liquorice or licorice is the common name of Glycyrrhiza glabra, a flowering plant of the bean family Fabaceae. The dried roots and mature stem cuttings are readily available in the market in the name of Mulethi or Yashti Madhu. This herb has been traditionally used to treat many diseases, such as respiratory disorders, hyperdipsia, epilepsy, fever, sexual debility, paralysis, stomach ulcers, rheumatism, skin diseases, hemorrhagic diseases, and jaundice.

I have made the introduction and quality of both aforesaid herbs. How it works? Yes, The Alpinia officinarum roots have anti-inflammation, antibacterial, and muscle spasm properties. that can help in the continuous strains of the vocal cord as well as protect it from infection and inflammation. The Glycyrrhiza glabra dried stem cutting or root pieces will make the tissue soft in the buccal cavity and vocal card and may produce voice without disturbances.

How will be taken? Yes, If you are continuously doing singing rehearsal (Riyaz), it will work very fast. (This should be noted, any person who already has a heavy voice should not do Riaz for AA, OO, MM (OUM) because it makes more heavy voice again. A person who have already heavy voice directly can practice singing under the supervision of his/her teacher/Master/Guru.) How use this above-said herb? Yes, this is important. Before two hours of riyaz or rehearsal, first, take a small piece of Galangal (about one inch) put in the mouth and just take saliva mixing with the juice (Please do not chew nor swallow)  Now, take one pinch of salt and warm water and gargle to clear sticky or thicky substances of the mouth, immediate after gargle, drink a tumbler about 200 ml hot water and then take a one-inch piece of Mulethi and keep in your mouth and use its juice extracted in the mouth with the help of saliva.

Before started singing, remove the mulethi from the mouth and sing a song as your wish on a high or low note.  Please do not run behind any medicines, it will not work in turn it gives many side effects too.

What was the procedure adopted to evaluate the proficiency and competence of pupils in ayurveda system of learning at takshila?

Our great India has been considered the teacher (Guru) of the whole world and the Takshashila is merely the University where many scholars from various countries were coming to be experts in various fields of study. Ayurveda is among the many subjects which is not only played an important role to make Vaidya in Chikitsa (Medicine) but also attracting scholars because of harmless treatment. 


In ancient times, many scholars have learned and returned back to their country. The selection of students was made based on their caliber but not a reservation. The gurukul treated every student in an equal manner, no one was considered rich, poor, great, small, etc, no division was made in student category but all students got designated as a separate caste that is known as "Students" Either they belong to King family or normal man. 

The study was performed as the Gurukul system and all students get equal attention to prove themselves. Food, shelter clothes, etc made common for all but on competition ground, uniformity was maintained for everyone and the disciples, who acquired good knowledge in the assigned subject was only awarded degree and that's why, the vaidya system, herbal medicine still popular in China, Malesia, Srilanka, and India like Prosperous countries. 

Nowadays, the education system is made a joke, especially in India. Here, scholars are being selected based on caste, community, and reservation, a sin created by politicians to make vote politics. It is observed that a student of specific categories gets very minimal marks, would be allowed the good rank and good study in top most college where the forward community student make sufferer. 

Recently, the trendy examination of Neet and Engineering have been conducted on an international level but here again politicians playing with the career of many innocent children because of just for their Vote bank and every year, the cut off being fixed separately for each category. It doesn't matter, how the child performance there. Only it is enough that the students belong to particular categories. 

Actually, no one caring about Nation, but attention was paid to make a happy to a specific community so that the vote bank would be fixed as a result India is still a developing country even after the completion of 75 years of its freedom. 

People must request the Government to stop reservations immediately, it is a curse for the country. No, doubt, the poor people belong to any categories may be benefited by providing them free, school fee, food, school dress, fellowship, and book, etc but once they come on the competitive platform, they must be treated equally and the cut off also should be the same. Whoever is deserving, should only be given the opportunity in order to get quality products as doctors and engineers. 

You have ever heard commonly that the bridge is fallen down or a doctor remove the liver instead of the damaged kidneys, these are the results of reservation. 

So, our government must consider seriously making our country reservation free... 

Qualification for writing book on Ayurveda....

As we know that the Ayurveda is known as the science of life. Among all four Vedas of the ancient period, Ayurveda attracts human civilization because it is the Shashtric book that can guide us to know-how for a healthy and energetic life. Ayurveda also tells us to live on Earth without harming Nature and Creatures. 

Ayurveda teaches us to know the fundamental principles of our life as it is based on three powerful Dosas ie. Vata, pitta, and Kapha are the main factors of our body to make it healthy. Among these three Dosas, if anyone gets imbalanced, it attracts many more common or even life-threatening diseases. So, if anybody follows the principles of Ayurveda, he may get Shatayu means life of hundred years even more than that. 

Following of fundamental rules of Ayurveda is very simple and easy too but it requires punctuality and regularity in our daily lifestyle. Nowadays, Ayurveda becomes very popular all over the world due to its total involvement in our life that also without harming. 

Now, we have well known about the importance of Ayurveda, so, writing a book requires Expertisation in practical and experimental ways. If any medical stream person possesses minimum qualifications of B. A. M. S degree and has several years teaching experiences as a medical college lecturer or professor and also have experience in clinic and hospital work to attend patients for trends as well as latest complaints, if such a experts write a book on Ayurveda, it will work like a vertebral column of the medical scholar and really they get the benefit. 

If the Ayurveda book is being written based on theoretical knowledge, it becomes a referral book and may be used for review of the literature and nothing more than that. So, writing a book for the medical stream requires theoretical and practical knowledge both so that it may give updated knowledge to the readers, scholars, and other medical students.

Preparing food in an earthen pot has wonderful health benefits….

During cooking in aluminum and iron utensils, the food gets burnt many times and it gets cooked too much. Which of course is easy to digest but becomes zero in taste and nutrition at the same the time it has many side effects. But the food is cooked properly in an earthen pot on sim flame then most of the nutrition of the food remains in it, which are essential for our health. 

Even cooking in Brass, bronze utensils are also not very much healthy as most of the nutrition of the food ends in it. Except for non-stick vessels, more edible oil is used during cooking in steel, iron, and aluminum utensils so that food and spices do not stick to the bottom, whereas the earthen pots require less oil for cooking and maintaining heat is also easy in earthen pots that are saving the reduction of the nutritional value of the food.

Although it is advisable to eat food only after heating. But repeatedly heating of the food also makes differences in the taste. But if we cook food in an earthen pot, then the food remains hot for a long time. You might have enjoyed kulhad tea (tea served in an earthen cup) or handi biryani (Biryani made in earthen utensil), and you must know the taste of it.  

Even today in villages, food is cooked and eaten in earthen pots in most of the houses in order to maintain its original taste and aroma. Considering the benefits, many towns and cities adopted to prepare food in earthen pots on the occasion of the festival. I personally experienced eating food made in earthen pots and I know the differences. I have observed a lot of differences. 

You also prepare, eat and enjoy the natural taste of it. Many people asked me that an earthen pot can’t be cleaned properly and is for single use only. NO, it is not like that, we may clean the earthen pots and use them further. There is a small precaution only require to cleaning earthen pots. 

What to do? Yes, please do not clean them with detergent soap or any washing powder or washing liquid because while washing itself the earthen pots absorb the smell of the detergent and when you start cooking further, the food will not be tasty and become unhealthy too. Then, what do we do? Yes, please take half-cut pieces of lemon and wash them with your earthen vessels. It preserves aroma too. 

Caution: You have to maintain separate earthen utensils for milk and milky preparation. The earthen pots used for utensils must wash with fired ash powder, not with other detergent powder or liquid.

Global warming vs whitewash: Whether we may control increasing temperature of Earth?

Scientists are working on various ways to find out the solution to cool the rapidly warming Earth. But the big question is, can global warming really be stopped, or is it just an illusion? 

The temperature rises significantly during the summer in many cities of India like Chennai, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and other countries like New York, etc., the temperature observed more than 5 degrees Celcius compared to the surrounding areas. This is because dark roofs, roads, and sidewalks become hotter than areas where there are trees and plants.

We already have a solution for this problem. That is to paint houses and roofs white. As easy as it sounds, it is also cheap. Its effect is also visible. A white roof is about 30 - 35% cooler than a black roof. It has long been a part of the architecture in African, Arab, and Southern European countries to reduce heat. By doing this, the local temperature can be reduced by an average of 1 to 5 degrees Celsius. 

Obviously, this is an average number. Its effect can be seen more in the summer days. Under the Cool Roofs initiative in New York City, more than 1 million square meters of rooftops in the city have been painted white since 2009. 

Painting white not only makes the house and surrounding areas cooler but also saves energy. People living in these houses have to reduce the use of air conditioners. Scientists estimate that if all roofs and sidewalks around the world were painted white, it could reduce greenhouse gas emissions up to an extent.

Either Go to Morning Walk OR Avoid Eating Certain foods.......

It is very important to make lifestyle changes to stay healthy either a young man, a grown-up, or an old man. Although people are becoming aware of their health in the present time, during the corona period, people are avoiding going out or are afraid that they may get corona from the air. In this way, it affects daily healthy routine life and felt lazy without warming up our body or without going morning walk. As we know that morning brisk walking up to 3 - 5 km. or cycling is the best exercise for all age groups. 

There are many benefits of walking in the morning, it also burns extra deposited calories from the body and we feel fresh and energetic throughout the day but if we are not able to walk in the morning in any circumstances, then we have to control our diet and avoid to feed the body beyond the limit and thus, control our food items. So let's know what kind of things we have to control when we are not able to go morning walk on rainy days or Covid pandemic or any other circumstances and these are -

1. Paratha- Yes, paratha looks very good but if you are not able to do a morning walk or any kind of workout then eat roti instead of paratha. There are about 200 calories in 1 paratha. The same roti has very fewer calories than this.

2. Chole-Bhature- The weather is slowly changing now. That's why sometimes we feel like eating something hot. Who doesn't like Chole Bhature hot? But Bhature is made of maida and that too in edible oil. So try not to eat such food items if you are not able to burn your energy.

3. Ice cream- It is summer season, people feel happy to eating ice cream. But if we are not making efforts to burn energy by doing exercise or morning walks due to laziness, then the calories are getting stored in the body.  It was noticed that a cup of icecream consist of  600 calories or above.

2. Chips or other namkeen- Namkeen is made by completely submerging it in edible oil and deep-fried. Although the edible oil does not appear on it but the chips absorbed the oil. In a study, it was proved that 200 g chips consist of  600 calories that is too much because we are not only going to stop food whole day after eating chips but we will be taking breakfast, lunch, etc that will go in our body

5. Milkshake- Milkshake or cold drinks are preferred instead of hot milk in the summer season. By drinking it, the coolness also remains in the body; we do not even feel weakness. But a glass of milkshake contains 750 calories or more than that. To burn which you will have to jump rope for about 70 minutes or brisk walk about 5 km. or cycling for more than 45 minutes. So now you must have known that if you are not able to do a morning walk, then what you should not eat and how many calories are there in it.

Bay leaf (tej patta) gives us health and maintain beauty…

The dry leaves Cinnamomum tamala; Family Lauraceae is an Indian bay leaf, also known as tejpat, tejapatta, Malabar leaf, Indian cassia, or malabathrum native to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and China.  Its leaves have a clove-like aroma with a hint of peppery taste; they are used for culinary and medicinal purposes. It is thought to have been one of the major sources of the medicinal plant leaves known in classic and medieval times.

Bay leaves consist of  Copper, potassium, calcium, magnesium, selenium, and iron in plenty.   It contains many types of antioxidants which also help in protecting against cancer, blood clotting, and many serious diseases related to the heart. The use of bay leaves is not limited to eating only food as mentioned above. Many people may be surprised to know that using bay leaves can also benefit skin and hair. Let's know, how we can use bay leaves to enhance our beauty and become healthy.

1. Bay leaves are very beneficial in spots or acne on the face. A paste of bay leaves or washing the face with boiled water after adding bay leaves helps to keep the face clean and spotless. The water of bay leaves also helps in healing the skin affected by the rays of the sun and helps in maintaining the skin tone.

2. The use of bay leaves is very effective to keep the hair soft, and shiny. There are two methods to apply bay leaves for healthy hairs. (i) We can put it in the oil for some days and then apply that oil to the roots of the hair. (ii) We can wash the hair with its water.

3. Applying a paste of bay leaves on the hair can get rid of the problem of dandruff. This paste can also be applied by mixing it with curd so that the scalp remains moist and nourished.

4. Dried bay leaves powder can be used as a toothpaste once a week. It is very effective in maintaining the whiteness and luster of the teeth.

5. The decoction of the dried bay leaves gives very much relief in persisting back pain.  Bay leaf oil massage on the waist is very useful too.

6.  The decoction made by dry bay leaves also helps in removing the physical pain caused by the cold waves. For this, prepare a mixture by grinding 10 grams bay leaves, 10 grams carom seeds, and 5 grams fennel together. Now put this mixture in 1 liter of water and boil it well. When 100-150 ml remains after boiling water, switch off the gas stove and allow it comes to normal temperature. Filter the decoction and drink.

7. If there is a sprain somewhere, then a decoction of bay leaves is helpful in relieving swelling and pain. The paste of the grinding bay leaves when applying to the painful area, provides good relief.8. If there is swelling in the veins or there is a strain in the veins, even then the decoction of bay leaves provides relief.

Food and the manners of eating for healthy life…..

In the changing lifestyle, problems related to the intestines and stomach become very common, but it cannot be ignored. When the immune system is strong, people can easily overcome any disease, but due to weak immunity, anybody can be vulnerable to microbial and viral infection. If we follow the health and Ayurvedic plan, we may improve the immune system that can easily fight infectious diseases as well as other life-threatening diseases, and also we may get peace of mind. At the same time, the body will also be healthy. In following the Ayurvedic diet methods, we may feel very lazy while eating in the beginning, but after bringing it into the routine, we will feel better. So let's describe the Ayurvedic diet plan which is very good for the development of our whole body.

1. Eat in peace - According to Ayurveda, while having food, the environment should be completely calm.  Do not talk to anyone while having food. Maintain silence while eating. it gives us so much pleasure too.

2. Keep digital devices away - Nowadays no one feels the need of anyone while having food. Because they have a mobile or laptop with them. But by doing this, the rays of mobile or laptop reach inside our body and harm us. The biggest thing with its use is that we eat more food as well as keep eating for a long time.

3. Avoid packaged food - Nowadays people prefer to eat outside and avoiding homemade food. But the frequent eating food outside destroying our health, and promoting the business of doctors by arranging our frequent visit to them.  So, eat homemade food regularly and drink more and more water. This will give relief to the disturbances in the stomach.

4. Eat the food by chewing and not swallow – While eating, if the food is chewed properly, then the further process of digestion will also be comfortable. As the digestion process starts from the mouth itself and after this, the food reaches the stomach. Therefore, it is always advisable to chew the food thoroughly.

5. Quantity of food also determines health- Sometimes it is seen that even after taking more quantity of meals, we will always in doubt whether food taken up to complete appetite or not.  This has happened because during eating we are talking to others, watching TV or doing other work together. According to Ayurveda, other activities should be kept aside while taking food. So that we may eat a limited amount of food that is actually required for body activities not for storing. If we eat more, the chances of obesity are also more that gives many more problems to our normal life.

All the information given above seems very simple, but by following it in a proper and scientific way just for 21 days, it becomes a part of your daily life. In terms of health, normal food is most helpful in getting a diagnosis of the problem of the stomach and intestine.

Not only this, due to the lack of blood in the body, women face more problems in their periods. But there is some normal and natural way that promotes the formation of RBCs in the body and increases hemoglobin.  As we know, the deficiency of hemoglobin is directly related to the lack of iron in the body. At the same time, the oxygen level starts decreasing. I will tell some important natural vegetables and fruits that will help you to boost up the energy as well as increase hemoglobin in the body - 

1.  Beetroot -  One round slice of beet should be eaten daily in the diet. Eating beetroot increases blood in the body. The elements present in it also increase the amount of hemoglobin by detoxifying the body. By consuming it, the loss of blood is reduced to a great extent. 

2. Pomegranate - In case of anemia, pomegranate along with seeds should be eaten daily instead of drinking its juice. Doctors also recommend consuming pomegranate seeds. Eating pomegranate cures indigestion problems also. 

3. Jaggery water - By drinking jaggery water daily, the blood increases rapidly. Put 1 teaspoon of jaggery in a tumbler at night and keep it filled with water. Waking up in the morning, filter that water in another tumbler and then drink it.  If you wish, you may add lemon and a little black salt to taste. With this, you will find the water delicious and you will feel absolutely fresh after drinking it.

4. Manuka - If there is a problem like anemia,  then manuka vine should be consumed. This makes RBCs grow faster. For this, soak Manukka in a bowl in the morning and keep it in water. After this, consume it in the evening.

5. Tomato – The number of antioxidants present in it helps in increasing hemoglobin. Tomato salad, juice, or soup can be used in any way. Also, it is rich in Vitamin C, which boosts immunity.

6. Coconut water - Reduction of hemoglobin is directly affected hair growth.  In this case, coconut water should be consumed. Due to this, the level of hemoglobin remains fine and hair fall also reduces.

8. Sesame - Sesame seeds are rich in nutrients. To consume it, first of all, soak sesame seeds for two hours. Filter the water and make a paste out of it. Mix it with honey and consume it a minimum of one time daily for up to 15 days.

Bitter Gourd (Karela) and health…

Momordica charantia OR Karela belongs to the family Cucurbitaceae is a  herbaceous, tendril-bearing vine that grows up to 5 m., available in the Indian market throughout the year because of its advanced cultivation technologies, however, the bitter gourds of winter and monsoon seasons have good taste as well as medicinally very useful for the health.  The fruit has a distinct warty exterior and an oblong shape. It is hollow in cross-section, with a relatively thin layer of flesh surrounding a central seed cavity filled with large, flat seeds and pith. The fruit is most often eaten green, or as it is beginning to turn yellow. At this stage, the fruit's flesh is crunchy and watery in texture, similar to cucumberchayote, or green bell pepper, but bitter. The skin is tender and edible.

Seeds and pith appear white in unripe fruits; they are not intensely bitter and can be removed before cooking. Bitter gourd is used as a green-skinned vegetable with white to translucent flesh and a taste that fits its name.   There are many health benefits to eat bitter gourds  but I would like to emphasize some important medicinal uses of the bitter gourds and is as under-

1. It is good to take bitter gourd juice in case of gas formation and indigestion in the stomach, due to which this disease goes away for a long time.

2. Drinking bitter gourd juice strengthens the liver and all liver problems end. Consuming it daily gives results in a week. It is also beneficial in jaundice.

3. Phosphorus is found in sufficient quantity in bitter gourd. It removes phlegm, constipation, and digestive problems. Due to its consumption, the digestion of food is done properly, and hunger is also openly felt.

4. Bitter gourd is very beneficial when there is a complaint of asthma. In asthma, eating bitter gourd vegetables without spices gives benefits.

5. Boiling the leaves or fruits of bitter gourd in water and consuming it, increases immunity, and any kind of infection is cured.

6. In case of vomiting, diarrhea, or cholera, drinking bitter gourd juice mixed with black salt provides immediate relief. Even if there is a problem with ascites, drinking two spoons of bitter gourd juice mixed with water is beneficial.

Spirulina - a trending food, dietary suppliment and health benifits ......

Spirulina is a plant found in water, it is also called a vegetable plant. It looks like algae in appearance. It is mainly grown around lakes, brackish water, and springs. The three species are Arthrospira platensis, A. fusiformis, and A. maximaActually, Spirulina is a biomass of cyanobacteria that can be consumed by humans and animals. It is now being cultivated worldwide; Arthrospira sp. is used as a dietary supplement or whole food.  

It is also used as a feed supplement in the aquaculture, aquarium, and poultry industries. This plant is said to be the best source of vitamins and other essential minerals. According to a recent study, spirulina has about 60 percent protein content and about  20 types of essential minerals. It also contains Vitamin A, Phyto Nutrients, Antioxidants, etc. It is rich in calcium and iron mainly.

In Latin America, it is eaten mainly in food. Not only this but it is also used in Ayurvedic medicine. Spirulina is called a superfood. There are many health benefits that have been discovered, however, I would like to emphasize only some of them that are very important to human health, and this is-

Black gram or Kala chana contains antioxidants, which are very useful to make our hearts healthy. It is very beneficial for sugar patients as it controls sugar levels in the blood.

Very often seen that people soaked gram for overnight and morning they will discard the water and add fresh water while boiling of a gram. It is totally wrong. What should do then? Yes, it would be better to wash well the gram before soaking it into drinking water and while boiling the same water should be used if you think the quantity of water is not sufficient, may add a little more water and then boil. After boiling the remaining water should be consumed. It is highly recommended not to discard the water used in the boiling of grams.
