Keraliya Ayurvedic Abhyanga: Contemporary methods……

Kerala is a popular state in southern India, where panchakarma abhyanga has been preserved. However, unlike panchakarma, it is more used more for rejuvenation purposes than for cleansing. Various contemporary forms of abhyanga are used in Kerala and are very effective. Some modern authorities note that some of these practices are especially useful in healing serious mental disorders. However, other modern authorities believe they aggravate the conditions. Practitioners have noted that procedures such as Shirodhara have evoked troubling past emotions in some persons. Therefore, persons who have very deep emotional problems may be advised by some practitioners to heal through herbs, aromas, and professional counseling first. The experts say that the keraliya therapy of panchakarma has very effective results though it differs from ancient rules as follows-

1.  As per ancient rules, panch karma must be done only during certain seasons but in Kerala rules, it can be done in all seasons

2.  In ancient rules doing panchakarma oil and sweat are preliminary therapies whereas in Kerala oil and sweat are taken as principle therapies.

3.  Ancient panchakarma treats the constitution but in Kerala rules it treats illness.

4.  The panchakarma is purification oriented in ancient rules but as per Kerala rules, panchakarma is toning oriented.

5.  Only five therapies have been recommended for panchakarma as per ancient rules but in Kerala, more than five therapies are in practice.

6.  As per ancient rules, panchakarma can not be performed in too hot or cold; or when cloudy (or rainy) but in Kerala, it is done effectively in rainy seasons.

Keraliya panchakarma and their categories: Even though there are numerous treatments in keraliya panchakarma, they all fit into five major categories-

1.  Dhara karma (Shiro-Dhara Or Avgahan Parisheka): It includes disease of the mind, Prana Vayu, CNS, ears, eyes, nose, and throat; facial palsy, insomnia, nervous disorders, memory, psychosis, fainting, confusion, excess perspiration, alcoholism, coma, etc.

2.  Kaya Seka (Pizhichil): It promotes tissue strength, biological fire, luster, complexion, Ojas, clear senses, Vayu disorders, muscle spasms, degenerative muscle disorders, etc.

3.  Pinda Sweda: It heals neuromuscular (facial paralysis, MS, muscular atrophy) and some systematic diseases.

4.  Anna lepa (Medicated grains): This therapy is used as an alternative method and applied when the Pinda Sweda does not work.

5.  Shiro lepa: It is used to treat mental and brain disorders.

Both dhara and lepa are palliative measures that eliminate excessed doshas. They remove stagnant, sticky toxins from the body’s channel (srotas) without applying traditional reducing methods (shodhana). Both can be given at all times and in all seasons.

Research says- black tea, coffee or dark chocolate hobbies are genetic….

If you love black coffee, black tea, and dark chocolate, then according to new research your hobbies are genetic. Caffeine researcher Marilyn Cornelis says that while some people consume black coffee daily, some people do not like it at all.

People who are fond of bitter tea, coffee, and chocolate have a kind of gene, due to which they are drawn towards these things again and again. According to research published in Nature Scientific Reports, the choice of bitter food items does not depend on the preferences of people, but on one of their genes. People born with this gene have their brains alerted to bitter tastes. Due to this, they repeatedly consumes black tea, black coffee, and dark chocolate.

Most people associate bitterness with caffeine, so they drink more black coffee than milk coffee. Since chocolate does contain a little caffeine, the same concept applies to dark chocolate. However, experts say that dark chocolate contains more than caffeine, a chemical called theobromine, which if consumed in high amounts increases the heartbeat and also spoils the mood. According to the research, further research may also reveal that people who are genetically more likely to consume coffee are more healthy than others.

It is better to drink milk and sugar than to add milk and sugar to coffee or tea. Since these things are plant-based, they should be consumed in their natural form. This reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, and many types of cancer.

Although dark chocolate contains a lot of calories, taking one bite of it daily keeps your heart healthy. This is because dark chocolate is made from cocoa, which contains antioxidants. These antioxidants keep the blood flow well in the body.

Marma abhyanga or Marma point therapy or Therapeutic body massage…

Marma points therapy is a traditional Ayurvedic massage technique that's believed to help sustain the flow of energy throughout your body. There are 107 marma points located around our body. Stimulation of these points is said to affect everything from the health of your organs to the production of hormones. Marma has been discussed in Vedas and also detailed in the classical Ayurvedic text, Shushrut Samhita. The marma points are similar to Chinese acupuncture, with only no invasive use of needles involved. Marma points are the position on the body where flesh, veins, arteries, tendons, bones, and joints meet. They may be seen as the junctions’ where Vayu, Pitta, and Kapha meet; or where sattva, rajas, and tamas meet; or where eternity and relativity meet. Some of the experts say that they are the points where the three aspects of self–realization meet, I,e. inner self, outer world, and between the two (knower, known, and process of knowing). They may be the junction between the physical, astral, and causal bodies. In short, they are the points that have great importance to a person’s body, mind, and spirit.

                    (Marmas  points in human)

Although, the marmas are the junctions of all the five principles (i.e. flesh, veins, arteries, tendons, bones, and joints), at each point, a predominance of one principle exists. It is at these points where abhyanga can most effectively restructure or rebalance the system to function most healthily. Further, Abhyanga helps to develop the preventive health and longevity of the body and mind by ensuring the proper balance and flow of hormones, fluids, immune, factors, etc.

Marma points are known in Ayurveda as major (Maha) and minor (laghu); however, in the human body, there are one hundred and seven marma points that exist. The major points are responsible to make functional chakras (secret energy points) on the body, while the minor points are found around the torso and limbs, thus, healing through marma abhyanga affects the chakras. Physical health and doshas.

The purpose of marma abhyanga is to stimulate the various bodily organs and systems. Like acupuncture, these points are measured by finger units to detect their correct locations. In ancient India, it was cautioned that this marma was to be guarded against harm. If these points were pierced by an arrow or hit forcibly, it could result in disease, trauma, or even death. Obviously, places like the heart, forehead, and throat are vulnerable areas whereas sites on both arms and legs are less vulnerable to severe injury. It is seen whenever imbalances exist in the body, these same spots become sore. Through marma abhyanga, health is restored.

Marma points are grouped according to the region of the body (arms -22 points, legs -22 points (11 in each), abdomen, 3 points, chest, 9 points, back, 14 points, and head and neck 37 points. They are also grouped according to muscles (10 points), ligaments and tendons (23 points), arteries (9 points), veins (37 points), joints (20 points), and bones (87 points).

Traditionally, marma points are grouped into three categories; those on the legs and feet (Shankha marma), those on the trunk (Madhayamanga marma), and those on the neck and head (Jatrudhva marma). I hope, this article surely helps medical students, certified message centers, physiotherapists, and other traditional medicine practitioners.

Corona is itself the enemy of Corona – A research report…

The coronavirus named SARS-CoV-2 is behind the Covid-19 epidemic that the whole world is battling for the last two years. However, apart from this, there are many types of coronavirus present in the environment, which are not fatal for us.  According to scientists from Imperial College London, the common cold caused by these viruses increases immunity against Covid-19 in our body by means of common-cold coronavirus present in nature increases immunity against Covid-19.

Common Cold Coronavirus makes T-cells in the body:  In this research published in the journal Nature Communications, scientists have found that the Common Cold Coronavirus is effective in producing antibodies to fight SARS-CoV-2 inside us.  They increase the number of T-cells in our body. T-cells are cells that fight and kill viruses.

How T-cells work: T cells cannot stop you from getting infected, but after infection, they kill the virus as soon as it reaches inside the body. Along with this, they also help in making antibodies in the body by working with other cells. The government of South Africa has defeated Omicron by speeding up vaccinations to strengthen people's T-cells.

Similar research has been done before:  In earlier research, scientists had found that T-cells formed in the body due to another coronavirus recognize SARS-CoV-2. Now this research shows that after being identified, these T-cells also increase our immunity against SARS-CoV-2.

The universal vaccine can be made: Scientists believe that this research can open the door to making a universal vaccine against the coronavirus. This vaccine will not only fight SARS-CoV-2 but will also protect us from other coronaviruses present in nature. Also, deadly corona variants like Omicron and Delta will also not be able to survive by vaccinating with universal vaccines.

Importance of the labeling rule on food items and confusion made to consumers…

According to Food Regulation 2011, Non-vegetarian or non-vegetarian food is food in which a part or whole of an animal is used. These include birds, freshwater or marine animals or eggs, or products derived from any animal, but do not include milk or milk products. All non-vegetarian or non-vegetarian food should be labeled a circle filled with a brown color inside a square with a brown outline.

At the same time, an egg is the only non-vegetarian material that can be told about this apart from the brown symbol. Vegetarian or vegetarian food should be labeled with a green circle inside the square with a green outline. The manufacturer is also required to display a list of the quantity and weight of the ingredients as well. The manufacturer has to specify what type of edible vegetable oil, vegetable fat, animal fat or oil, fish, poultry, meat, cheese, etc. has been used in the product. If an ingredient itself is made up of two or more ingredients and the "compound ingredient" consisting of it constitutes less than 5% of food, then a list of ingredients included in compound ingredients other than food additives No need to declare.

Why did the question arise regarding food labeling, what did the court say? Now the question arises that when the rules regarding labeling of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are clear, then why are questions being raised about it? The High Court said that the law very clearly states that the manufacturers should specify which food is vegetarian and which is non-vegetarian. The Court observed that however, it appears that some food business operators are taking unfair advantage of the rule of regulation that, with certain exceptions, the source of ingredients (plant or animal) used for the manufacture or production of food articles There is no obligation to tell.

How is non-veg mixed in vegetarian food? Even though many products are sold as vegetarian food and have a green circle on them to designate them as vegetarian, they also use ingredients that are made from animals. The Delhi High Court cited the example of disodium inosinate (E 631), a food additive found in instant noodles and potato chips, which are commercially prepared from meat or fish. The court said, "A little search on Google reveals that E 631 is nonvegetarian and It is commercially prepared from meat or fish. Although it can also have a plant origin when it is made from the Tapioca starch, otherwise mostly the origin is from meat. Those suffering from gout and asthma should steer clear of such products. Since, the disodium inosinate (E 631), can be obtained from plant sources this is why the rule was not forcibly adhered to the manufacturer to paste the level for the Non-veg category but what was the moral duty of the manufacturer?

They should clearly indicate their products based on the source of the ingredients used for production. But, When such ingredients or ingredients are also used in a vegetarian product, only the code for that ingredient is disclosed. Without disclosing on the packaging what the source of the material is, that is, whether it is made from plants or animals or chemically prepared in a lab. The court said, "Many food items which contain ingredients from animals pass as vegetarian only by applying green dot."

The court issued instructions to the food operators: The court said in its judgment that any vegetarian food that contains non-vegetarian ingredients in a "modest percentage" would "make that food non-vegetarian, and the religious and cultural sensitivities and feelings of vegetarians" hurt, and interfere with their rights. The Court held that the failure of the authorities to investigate such lapses is in violation of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The Court directed the Food Business Operators to strictly adhere to Regulation 2.2.2(4), which mandates "Declaration in respect of vegetarian or non-vegetarian food".

The court warned these food operators that failing to comply with this rule would be considered a violation of the fundamental rights of the public consuming their products. If this happens, strict legal action will be taken against the food operators. Also, the court has directed FSSAI to implement this order.

Reduction in isolation periods from 14 days to10 day and then 07 days may lead rapid spread of Omicron…

Corona will spread more rapidly. During the first wave in the country, Corona home isolation was kept for 14 days. Then two negative corona tests were necessary before the home isolation ended. After this, the period of home isolation was kept for 14 days, but the mandatory test was done away with. During the second wave in April 2021, the home isolation period was reduced from 14 days to 10 days in the guidelines. Along with this, the imperative of testing also ended before the end of the isolation.

Now, in the new guideline that came on 05 January 2022, the Ministry of Health has reduced the home isolation period from 10 days to 7 days for asymptomatic and mild symptoms of the corona. Also, it is not necessary to get testing done before the end of home isolation after 7 days. Only if there is no fever for three consecutive days in isolation, home isolation will be considered over after 7 days.

Earlier America had reduced the isolation period: On 23 December itself, the US had reduced the period of home isolation for corona infected health care workers from 10 days to 7 days. On 27 December 2021, the US also reduced the period of isolation for ordinary citizens from 10 days to 5 days. The US National Public Health Agency Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has not recommended corona testing to be done before the end of the isolation period. After America, Britain also reduced the home isolation for corona infected from 10 to 7 days. While Israel has abolished the isolation requirement for vaccinated people.

After the reduction in isolation periods by America, Britain, and Israel, the Union Health Ministry of the country also issued a home isolation guideline for Kovid-19 infected on 05 January 2021. Now the isolation period has been reduced from 10 days to 7 days for asymptomatic and mild symptoms. The isolation period in the country during the first wave was 14 days. If there is no fever for three consecutive days, at least 7 days after being found corona positive without testing, home isolation will be considered over. There is no need for testing and isolation of asymptomatic people who came in contact with the infected person.

The Ministry of Health did not tell the scientific reason for reducing the isolation period. The Ministry of Health has not given any specific reason for reducing the corona isolation period. It is believed that India has also reduced the isolation period with the help of countries like America, Britain. On reducing the isolation period, the Ministry of Health has definitely said that in the last two years, it has been seen in the world and also in India than in most cases, Covid-19 is either asymptomatic or has very mild symptoms.

The end of the home isolation period without testing has been criticized by many experts and said that this will put the corona at risk of spreading more rapidly. According to the New York Times report, there has been a lot of opposition to this move in America and experts say that this move is more related to the economy than science.

Let us know why it is dangerous to end isolation without testing? What the experts are saying is-

1. The transmission of the virus will be faster. "The result will be that at least some people will come out of isolation sooner, so there will be more chances of transmission and in fact, COVID-19 will spread faster." There is little chance of people taking measures like applying masks after leaving isolation.
2. According to Dr. Megan Rennie, Academic Dean and Emergency Physician, Brown University School of Public Health, USA “This guidance is more confusing than it could be or should be. It should be for people who are not symptomatic, if you have symptoms, you should not go out in public
3. According to a study led by epidemiologist Dennis Nash of the City University of New York in the US, only 29% of people were isolated during a previous infection. He said that it is not clear whether by reducing the isolation period; more people will be ready to be isolated.

4. "Not testing after five days of isolation - is it because there is no supply of testing kits? If that's the case, that's no reason to make a policy." -Dannis Nash, Epidemiologist in America

What are Indian experts saying? Indian experts have also expressed the risk of spreading the corona more rapidly without testing after 7 days, considering the isolation period to be over, and said that the isolation period should be at least 14 days. Some experts believe that early termination of the isolation period without testing could lead to further spread of the Omicron variant. According to an expert, "How can a patient be removed from the isolation ward without a negative test? The patient can spread the virus to others as well." He also said that many times there have been complaints of not following self-isolation rules. In such a situation, even if the patient is asymptomatic, he should remain in isolation for 14 days.

According to experts "The risk of spreading the virus is not zero, but it is definitely less. Even after isolation, a person can be found corona positive for 90 days, because some viruses may be present in his body, but the number of viruses is not enough to infect others. Therefore, the risk of infecting others remains low but does not end.

Some experts believe,  “Omicron symptoms come in 2-3 days and the virus starts killing in 3-4 days. Whereas in Delta and other variants, it took 4-5 days for symptoms to appear and more time for their elimination. This may be the reason to reduce the isolation period to 7 days.

To prevent the spread of infection, it is necessary to wear a mask even after the end of the isolation period, and follow the Covid protocol."

The Burans plant (Rhododendron arboreum) can help us fight the corona virus…..

Corona cases are increasing rapidly in India. In such a situation, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and getting a vaccine is being considered the only way to avoid infection, but very soon a medicine of corona may come, which will be no less than a lifesaving herb for corona patients.

Yes. I am talking about the wonderful research from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi and the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) that has found a cure for corona in a plant found in the Himalayan hills.

According to scientists, the burans plant (Rhododendron arboretum) can help us fight the coronavirus. A substance called phytochemicals present in the petals of its flowers prevents the corona from multiplying. This chemical has some such anti-viral properties, due to which the virus cannot survive in front of them. Let us tell you that the plant of Burans is mostly found in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir. Local people have already been using the juice of its petals to keep their health good.

About the plant: The botanical name of the burans plant is Rhododendron arboretum and Rhododendron (English); Burans (Hindi); Kurvak (Sanskrit). This plant belongs to the family  Ericaceae. Burans plant is found at an altitude of 1500 - 3600 meters above sea level. It is the state tree of Uttarakhand and it is highly recognized in the local community there. Red flowers bloom on it in the months of March-April.

The flowers of Burans are also commonly known as Brass, Buras, or Barah flowers. Apart from India, it is also found in Pakistan, China, Nepal, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. People considered its presence in Sri Lanka with Hanuman Ji taking the mountain of Sanjeevani Booti from the Himalayas in the Ramayana.

How does this plant prevent the spread of corona infection in the body? The expert from the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology says that the phytochemicals of Buransh act in two ways in the body. First, they bind to an enzyme found in the corona, which helps the virus to duplicate itself. Apart from this, they also bind with the ACE-2 enzyme found in our body. The virus enters our body only through the ACE-2 enzyme.

According to scientists, due to this joining process of phytochemical, the coronavirus is not able to infect the cells of our body and the risk of infection is averted. Another Expert from Mandi IIT says that he believes that the treatment of corona will be possible with the burans plant. His team is looking for a cure for corona in other medicinal plants found in the Himalayas.

Burans’s petals and other health benefits: The syrup made from the flowers of Buransh is considered extremely beneficial for heart patients. These petals are used to relieve cold, muscle pain, headache, and fever. Local people use it to make squash and jam. Also, its chutney is still preferred in rural areas.

Follwing these tips may reduce therisk of long Covid and make recovery fast if infected…

Corona cases are increasing rapidly around the world due to the Omicron variant. In 24 hours, more than 1.5 lakh corona cases have been registered in 6 countries of the world. At the same time, more than 25 lakh new corona infections have been found all over the world. In such a situation, all of us should be aware of the ways to recover quickly from Corona. Also, it is important to follow the following tips to reduce the risk of long covid in the future-

1.     Keep the body hydrated: If you want to recover quickly from corona, then it is necessary to drink enough water. Australian scientist Robert Boye says that staying hydrated helps the body recover from the corona. Due to this, the functioning of the body is done properly.

2. It is necessary to take bed rest: To recover from any disease, it is necessary to take good rest. After corona, doctors recommend that the body should be given maximum rest. So do not ignore this advice at all. By ignoring this tip, there may be a possibility of long covid in future.

3. Eat a diet rich in nutrition: During illness, our body lacks many important nutrients. Therefore, it is important to include more and more nutritious things in your diet. At this time, do not consume fried, spicy food, junk food, soft drinks, or alcohol at all.

4. Do regular exercise: To keep the body healthy, you can do light exercise daily. If you want, yoga can also be done. Doing Pranayama like Anulom Vilom, Kapal Bhati and Sai (Sigh) will greatly benefit your respiratory system. Also, even if you're a fan of intense workouts, you should start with simple exercises after recovery.

5. Don't Forget Mental Health: The corona pandemic has caused a lot of damage to our mental health. When someone struggles with this disease, not only does his body become weak, but that person also becomes mentally weak. Anxiety and stress can make our illness worse. Therefore it is important to take care of mental health. Meditation or new hobbies can be developed during recovery.

Beware of adulterated tea......

Camellia sinensis, a shrubs belongs to family Theaceae. Tea production, cultivation of the tea plant, usually done in large commercial operations. This is an evergreen plant is valued for its young leaves and leaf buds, from which the tea beverage is produced.

Tea becomes the need of all family members in all over world. Bed tea is a term that is used to start the day for majority of people and tea lovers. Tea is started with political ground, a meeting or even a family function   is not completed. Chai- Samosa or Namkeen and tea is the part of the family discussion. Many important decisions are being made during the time of tea.

Tea is not a beverage only to drink but also people use it to make their mood fresh, even it is being used for treatment of headache, preparing mood for dealing critical file issues etc...

Many poet had given its stylish name such as lajvanti or nirlajja tea; charitravan tea or Charitraheen tea. Let me clear about its name given by Indian poets. The Charitravan tea is served in a special earthen pot or vessel, made from soil and called' Kullahad' that is being used once whereas the charitraheen tea is served in stainless steel vessel or in Chinese cup and that cup is utilised several time to serving tea for many people and thus it is called ' charitraheen tea'. So, its very funny. Yes. Its true in fun also tea is a part of modern life as well as ancient life. No one can deny. Many people told that if they not take tea in a specific time, they feel severe headache and it seems that they loss something. Now, we may see the importance of tea in our routine life.

But how you feel, if you have suddenly heard that the tea is severely adulterated. Yes. Adulteration is now become a part of the business that no way bother to the people health. Nowadays, frequently adulterated tea available in the market in beautiful and attractive packings and also gives good aroma just opening the cover. But do you know all beautifully packed tea is not healthy and being adulterated by adding artificial colur and dye.

This artificial color causing many severe health issues like lever failure, kidney failure, cancer etc... Might you have heard that an individual seems very healthy and has no bad habits like drinking alcohol, Ciggarette smoking and tobacco, bidi etc but got affected with any life threatening disease and lose his life on immature time.
This is due to adulterations in food, beverages and other eatable items. We have to much alert from the life cheaters.

There is some tips for easy identification of original and adulterated tea.....

1. Take a small amount of tea powder or granules, put on tissue papers just sprinkle litte water on it. Observe after two minutes, and then remove the tea powder from tissue paper and see the results. If tissue paper had got very dark yellow or brown stains means tea is adulterated. If stain is just very light or pale yellow means the tea is original.

2. Take a transparent tumbler and fill with water. Add few grains of tea in it and observe. As soon as the grains start releasing color even in normal water means it is adulterated by adding some color to make attractive and thick colored tea. Such tea should be avoided as it harms to the internal organs of our body. Original tea grains will not start realising color immediately in touch of water but take 20 to 30 seconds and that also light color in compare to adulterated one. It gives color on only a certain boiling temperature.

Is history repeating itself: Omicron's wave is like the flu pandemic in 1918, even at that time masks and lockdown were necessary....

The wave from the Omicron variant in the world is very similar to the flu pandemic of the year 1918. Even a century ago, people used to come out of the house wearing masks and today the same situation is being seen even after a century. According to researcher Christopher McKnight Nichols of Oregon State University in the US, the 1918 flu, like Omicron, was the first to hit young and healthy people.

Carelessness was seen even in 1918-  People had shown their negligence at that time also. In an article published in The Washington Post, Mr. Nichols wrote that the flu that occurred in February 1918, caused the First World War-like situation and spread from America to the whole world. It was also a viral disease that spread by air. And the rate of spreadability was very high. It took only 6 months for its infection to spread worldwide. However, like Omicron, this flu had a low mortality rate.

Some of the flu symptoms were very similar to those of the corona mutant  'Omicron'. People used to have colds and fever in them. Even then, by showing carelessness, people took it as a fever that lasted for 3 days. According to Mr. Nichols, in October 1918, a dangerous variant of this flu had arrived, which killed about 2.0 lakhs people in a month in America. By 1919, the flu cases and death rates had decreased. In total, 50 million people died due to flu epidemics around the world.

There was a lockdown-like situation even during the year 1918 flu pandemic. Governments closed movie theatres, pools, and other public places even in the year1918 flu pandemic due to people's carelessness. It was necessary for people to wear masks outside the house. People were put in jail for not wearing masks. It was also common to follow isolation and social distancing when infected with the flu.

Scientists had tried to make a vaccine a century ago but failed, unfortunately:    Mr. Nichols says that scientists had tried a lot to make a vaccine for the flu in 1918, but at that time they were not successful. Therefore, it is very important to use whatever vaccines and booster doses are available to fight against the coronavirus and its variants. According to his opinion, Corona will never end like the flu spread in 1918 and still among us but in the weak conditions. Mr. Nichols believes that just as the flu virus is still present in the environment, in the same way, the coronavirus is not going anywhere. After a time corona will also become a normal virus for us like flu.

So, it would be better to avoid carelessness and follow all the precautionary measures as provided by the health department from time to time and wear proper facemasks, sanitize your things, wash your hands properly, make appropriate distances avoid gathering and better to stay home and if, really need to go out, then only go with proper protocols. This is also a kind of help to the Government to control the spreading of the disease and fight against the corona.

Stay home, stay healthy, stay safe...

Omicron virus and its affects in the world – A complete information on Omicron....

Expert says that Omicron will definitely make everyone a victim once, out of 100 tests, 25 will come out positive; Let us know when the havoc will stop...

Corona cases are increasing worldwide rapidly due to the new variant Omicron of Corona. Omicron, 70 times more infectious than Delta, is rapidly becoming the dominant variant in many countries of the world. Due to Omicron, records of new corona cases are being made in America and Europe. However, Omicron seems to be causing less severe disease so far than Delta. But experts are warning not to take this new variant lightly.

The new variant of Corona, Omicron, has spread rapidly all over the world and in less than two months it has spread to more than 100 countries of the world. Experts believe that Omicron will become the dominant variant in the coming days or weeks. Edward Ryan, MD, Director and Director of International Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital in the US, says that nearly 100 percent of cases in the New England region of America are now Omicron and the delta variant has almost disappeared from there. As of the first week of January, Omicron was responsible for about 96% of new cases in the UK and more than 80% of the cases in the US and France.

In South Africa where Omicron was first found, more than 93% of cases are now of this variant. In India too, about 35% of the new cases by the end of December were from Omicron. Omicron was responsible for about 40% of the new cases till the first week of January. In metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, about 75% of the new cases of Corona are from Omicron.

When will the peak of the fresh wave of Corona come? Experts estimate that the peak of the fresh wave of corona in India is likely to come in February. First IIT Kanpur and now recently IIT Madras in their study have expressed the possibility of the peak of fresh wave in the country during 1 to 15 February. According to American expert Dr. Edward Ryan, the peak of corona in America can come by the end of January and cases will start decreasing in February and life is likely to be back on track by March.

What does mean Positivity Rate?   The positivity rate is an indicator of the spread of the coronavirus. An increase in the positivity rate means that out of the total corona test done, the number of people found positive has increased. The percentage of positivity rate is an indication of how much infection has spread in the country or area where corona testing is being done.

What would be the positivity rate? According to experts, It can reach 20-25%? As per records from the Ministry of Health, as of January 09, the country's daily positivity rate has increased to 10.21% and weekly positivity rate to 6.77%. It is expected to increase further in the coming days. The R-value of the country has also increased to 4, that is, now one infected person can infect 4 people. The country's R-value during the second wave was 1.9. According to American expert Dr. Edward Ryan, the daily positivity rate is expected to reach 20%-25% in many countries.  A possibility is also being raised about Omicron that it could be the beginning of the end of Corona. Although experts believe that the speed with which it is spreading, it is difficult for anyone to avoid it and once everyone is infected with Omicron. Only then will herd immunity develop against this variant.

American expert Dr. Edward Ryan says that there is no way to avoid Omicron and it will happen to everyone once, only then will herd immunity develop against it. With the rapid spread of Omicron, there is a possibility of developing herd immunity in the world quickly. Herd immunity is a condition in which almost the entire population develops immunity against the virus. This can be due to a past or current infection or vaccination. Dr. William Schaffner of Vanderbilt University, Tennessee, USA, believes that if there are no more new variants after Omicron in 2022, then it may be the beginning of the end of the corona or moving towards endemic. More infectious Omicron attacks only the upper respiratory tract, i.e. the throat, so it spreads faster.

Omicron has a lower hospitalization rate than Delta, despite the rapid increase in the number of hospitalizations occurring in already sick people. According to the BBC report, a UK study states that Omicron has a 50%-70% lower hospitalization rate than Delta and other variants This is true to a large extent in India as well. According to the experts, only 1%-2% of people infected with Omicron in the country are hospitalized, which is much less than the second wave. According to this report, those admitted to the hospital are already ill, people of 60+ age or unvaccinated people are more. More than 20 thousand corona cases were registered in Delhi in the first week of January and the positivity rate increased to 19%. But in the first week of January in Delhi, the hospitalization rate has come down. According to other expert views, Delhi's hospitalization rate was 6.6% on January 1, which came down to 4.81% on January 07. That is, even though corona cases are increasing in Delhi, the number of people admitted to the hospital has declined.

Will most of Omicron's infected be asymptomatic? Yes. Most of the Omicron cases coming in the world are asymptomatic. According to the Ministry of Health, about 70% of the Omicron cases in the country are asymptomatic. 90% of the Omicron cases in the country have been found in people who are vaccinated. That is, the fear of dodging Omicron's vaccine also seems to be proving true. According to the World Health Organization, preliminary studies show that while Omicron spreads more rapidly than the delta variant, its symptoms are less severe and most cases are asymptomatic.

Booster dose and Omicron:  The demand for the introduction of a booster dose has started rising after the Omicron variant was suspected of dodging existing vaccines. Many countries of the world have already started giving booster doses. In India also, from January 10, people of 60+ ages are being given the preparation or the third dose. But many experts believe that it is not possible to give a booster dose every six months for the new variant of Corona.

Scientists from Oxford University have recently said that the whole world cannot be vaccinated in four to six months; it is neither long-term nor affordable. Researchers say that instead of giving a booster dose to everyone, it should be given only to susceptible people. American expert Dr. Edward Ryan says that by the time we give booster doses to the people, before that the havoc of Omicron will be over.

It is observed that rapid antigen tests and RT-PCR tests for corona are not effective in catching Omicron infection in the early days. According to American expert Dr. Edward Ryan, for people who have symptoms, the rapid test is 50-80% sensitive while, for asymptomatic people it is only 30-60% sensitive.

To stop Omicron, governments are also tracing people who have come in contact with the infected person, so that it can be stopped from spreading. Close contact is considered when a person spends four or more hours in a place like home with an infected person. Omicron has a risk of spreading 70 times faster than Delta, so contact tracing is believed to be effective in preventing Omicron from spreading. However, the Ministry of Health has not mandated corona testing of asymptomatic people coming in contact with a corona-infected person in the country.

Delmicron may also infect the human population as a supportive corona disease …..

First Coronavirus, then its mutation to form many variants like Delta, Omicron, Florona, etc, and infects over the human population. Expert says that there is also a possibility of 'Delmicron' infection made from Omicron plus Delta:

Recently, some experts have expressed the possibility of a Delmicron strain consisting of Omicron and Delta. Actually, Delmicron is not a new variant of Corona. Some experts believe that the Delta variant and Omicron variant of Corona together form a 'super strain', which is being called Delmicron.

The condition that results from infection with both Delta and Omicron in the same person is being called Delmicron. Experts believe that people with weakened immune systems are at higher risk of getting infected with both Delta and Omicron variants. Inside such people, the viruses of Delta and Omicron are forming a new super strain Delmicron.

The severity of the infection and the rate of spreadability is still the subject of deep study.

Deltacron, a new corona variant entered in the world; It kills like Delta and spread like Omicron – A serious issue, world to face….

It has come to the information that another new corona strain has knocked in the midst of the coming corona Tsunami due to the new variant Omicron in the world. Scientists in Cyprus claim that a new strain of coronavirus consisting of Delta and Omicron variants has been found in their country. Due to Omicron, record cases of corona have been registered in the world in the first week of January. In such a situation, another new strain has increased the tension of the world regarding Corona.

What is 'Deltacron' and who discovered it? A new strain of coronavirus has been found, about which researchers claim that it has symptoms of both Delta and Omicron variants. Researchers from the University of Cyprus have named it 'Deltacron'. The new strain of corona, Deltacron, has been discovered by a team led by Leondios Kostrikis, Head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Molecular Virology at the University of Cyprus and Professor of Biological Sciences. Regarding the new strain Deltachron, Professor Kostrikis said, "It is a co-infection of Omicron and Delta and the strain we found has a combination of both. This discovery is named Deltacron because a genetic character like Omicron has been found inside the Delta genome.

According to researchers, a new strain of corona Deltacron has been found in 25 people in Cyprus so far. According to Professor Kostrikis, out of 25 people in Cyprus in whom the new strain was found, 11 people were admitted to the hospital after being corona positive. At the same time, the remaining 14 people were such that they were Covid positive, but were not admitted to the hospital. That is, the risk of infection from this new corona strain is higher for those admitted to the hospital.

What is the danger of the Deltacron strain? A new strain of corona, Deltacron, has been found at a time when corona cases are increasing very rapidly around the world due to Omicron. At such a time, a new corona strain is definitely like a new disaster. However, studies regarding this new strain are still in the early stages. Cyprus has sent 25 samples in which DeltaCron was found on 7 January itself, to GISAID for examination. GISAID is an international database tracking changes in influenza and coronavirus. Professor Kostrikis from Cyprus has said about the threat from Deltacron that we will know in the future whether this strain is more disease-causing, more contagious, or will it be more effective than Delta and Omicron?

The World Health Organization monitors each new variant of the coronavirus and categorizes it according to its severity. For example, Delta and Omicron have been declared 'Variants of Concern' by the WHO, that is, both these variants are in the worrying category. The WHO has not said anything yet on the Deltacron found in Cyprus. That is, an official statement from the World Health Organization is yet to come about what the Cyprus researchers are calling the Deltacron strain.

Cypriot expert and Virologist Tom Peacock of Imperial College London has said that Deltacron is a "technical mistake in the lab", not a new strain. He said that Omicron has not yet spread to such a large population that it can actually combine with another variant to form a new variant. He said that it has been only a few weeks for Omicron to spread, so it is unlikely that it will be able to combine any other variant and create a new variant. However, the claim of being a 'lab error' has been dismissed by Professor Kostrikis from Cyprus. He said that the genome sequencing of Deltacron samples has been carried out in more than one country and at least one sequence from Israel submitted to the global database showed Deltacron's genetic properties, he said.
