World scared about the current vaccines on Omicron why? an expert reviews....

The potential for rapid mutation of the new variant of the Covid-19 virus, Omicron, has alarmed the whole world. This new variant is being said to be more dangerous than Delta, which devastated the whole world a few months ago because so far 50 mutations have occurred in Omicron. Due to Omicron's ability to mutate very rapidly, the question is also being raised whether the current corona vaccine will be effective on this new variant?

Meanwhile, British company Moderna has said that the current vaccine is likely to be less effective against Omicron. Why might existing vaccines be ineffective on Omicron? Omicron is said to be the fastest mutation virus ever. WHO has placed it in the category of “Variant of Concern”. There have been 33 mutations in its spike protein itself.

Actually, it is through the spike protein that the virus opens the way to enter human cells. The vaccine prepares the body to fight against it by producing antibodies against the spike protein itself. More mutations in Omicron's spike protein have raised concerns about how effective current vaccines will be against it? The current vaccine has been designed according to the original coronavirus strain that surfaced in Wuhan, China, while Omicron's strain is completely different from it. This is the reason why this new variant of the existing vaccine is expected to have little or no effect.

British company Moderna has said that the current vaccine against Omicron is expected to be less effective, amid discussions about the ineffectiveness of the vaccine against Corona's new variant Omicron. Moderna CEO Stephen Bensel told the Financial Times that current vaccines may be less effective against Omicron than earlier strains of the corona. Bensal also warned that it could take months for pharmaceutical companies to manufacture large-scale vaccine doses against the new variant. Omicron's potential for sharp mutations in the spike protein may require pharma companies to modify existing vaccines next year, he said.

Amidst the discussion on Omicron about the less effective or completely ineffectiveness of the existing vaccine, talk of bringing a new vaccine for it has started. British company Moderna has said that if needed, the vaccine of this new variant can come in the early months of 2022. Moderna has already made an mRNA vaccine of Corona. Moderna's chief medical officer, Paul Burton, has said his company could launch an mRNA vaccine to combat Omicron early next year if needed. At the same time, Pfizer, another company that makes the corona vaccine, has said that if needed, it can make a new vaccine against Omicron in six weeks and make its initial dose available within 100 days.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has so far approved the use of a total of eight corona vaccines worldwide. These eight vaccines currently being used for corona can be divided into three categories. One is the messenger RNA vaccine, the other is the viral vector vaccine and the third is the inactivated vaccine. The way these vaccines are made and work are different.

Messenger RNA (mRNA) Vaccines: These vaccines contain messenger RNA (mRNA) codes, which go into the body to make a version of the coronavirus protein. After vaccination, your immune cells begin to make fragments of the spike protein, and your body starts making antibodies. If you are later infected with the COVID-19 virus, these antibodies help fight against the virus.

Viral vector vaccine: This is a carrier vaccine, in which a non-harmful adenovirus is genetically engineered as a viral vector. When this virus reaches our cells, it instructs them to make copies of this spike protein. As spike proteins build up on the surfaces of your cells, your immune system responds by making antibodies and defensive white cells. When infected with the coronavirus, these antibodies are used to fight the virus.

Inactivated Vaccine: A dead or inactivated virus is used in this. This inactivated virus can neither multiply nor make you sick. Through this vaccine, an immune response is prepared in the body similar to a natural infection.

How to protect oursleves from new varient of Covid-19 (Omicron)......a new study report...

A new variant of Covid -19, B.1.1.529 is named Omicron. It is a dangerous mutant of the  Coronaviruses and has 7 times more spreadability than the delta virus.  It is more asymptomatic due to less diagnosed symptoms just like light fever and tiredness. There is no loss of smelling power and hunger etc. It seems very common flue but shown fast effect than the past many variants. However, many experts say that it has no major health hazard especially for those who have been fully vaccinated.

India has prepared a list for high alert countries, the screening will be done very strictly to the passenger who will come from that countries. An abnormal mutation has been observed in the Omicron virus. Till date, it has spread to 16 countries. It includes African countries, Europe, Canada,  Australia, Hongkong, Israel, Netherland, Switzerland, Italy, Botswana, etc. It has been reported that it spread very fast and will take less time in spreading than the Delta virus.

The mutation in viruses is a natural phenomenon and the protein spikes that consist of RNA keep on changing resulting formation of new strains or mutants. WHO has considered it as a Variant of Concern (VOC). Not only this but also WHO has kept the five variants in the list of Variant of Concern. These are alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Omicron. The alpha variant has been first of all seen in the United Kingdom on 18 December, 2020; Beta variant in South Africa on 18 December, 2020; Gamma has been seen in Brazil on 11 January, 2021; Delta had been reported from India on 11th May, 2021 and Omicron is from many countries from 26 November, 2021.

However, more information is not available for the Omicron variant. Research is still going on. The scientist has told, it is very dangerous but still, they don't know how many percent of people need hospitalization or which age group of people will be more affected due to this variant. The information of the new variant is dependent upon genome sequencing. As much as genome sequencing is done,  the variant of the new virus will be exposed. Till today, omicron has attained 32 mutants.

India has made new guidelines for the new arrival of passengers from other countries and that guideline will be implemented from the 1st December 2021. In this guideline, the arriving people will take the RT-PCR test at the airport itself that also with their own expenditure and have to stay at the airport till the report comes. If the report comes as negative even though they have to follow 7+7 quarantine formulae. This means they have to stay at the airport for 7 days and after they get a negative report again they have to stay at home for more than 7 days.  At intervals of 7 days, the patient is to take again the RT-PCR test for the negative result. So, the total days of quarantine will be 14 days. If any person is found positive at the airport then, the sample of those people would be sent for genome sequencing so that it would be known that which type of variant affecting to the person.

The contact tracing will be necessary for such a patient and for that three rows of the front and back passenger would have to cross from the RT-PCR test and cabin crew members should also be checked for corona test. A person who wishes to travel via airport has to show their negative report and RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours. the passenger who comes from ships also follows the same protocols.

Some study shows that the new variant of this omicron virus can break vaccinated immunity too. Dr. Ranveer Guleria, Director AIIMS has told that the changes observe in the virus's spike protein. Scientists from South Africa told that this variant is more infectious but not dangerous like other variants already come last year.

Omicron, a new Covid-19 varient is 5 time more dangerous than delta varients....

Omicron, the name of the new Covid-19 variant that is sending worrying signals from Southern Africa, becomes again dangerous for the world. India is also not safe if the decision is not taken by the Government in time. Uttrakhand Government has issued new guidelines for the new variant. New Delhi and Madhya Pradesh Government make the state on alert mode. World Health Organisation has named it 'Variant of Concern'

The Omicron variant is found 5 times more dangerous than the Delta variant. It makes scientists worried as there would be no safety even after taking the full doses of the Corona vaccine. Now from Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujrat to Arunachal Pradesh, the whole country is on high alert mode. The coming 30 days is very important to our country. Within 30 days it would be clear how much our country would be safe from the 3rd wave of the corona.

The Prime Minister of India has issued an important advisory to all the state governments. Prime Minister of India has instructed to make a positive review about the functioning of all the oxygen plant and hospital facilities, to be ready to face any kind of hurdle. It is a matter to be worry as the new variant is highly transmissible and can challenge even strong immunity. This variant genome sequencing is B.1.1.529 mutant and it can replace the delta variant. Out of 59 mutations, about 32 mutations and their receptor binding site or spike protein are found more dangerous than the Delta variant. Dr. Easwar Jilad, specialist, Infectious diseases, told that it is good news that till today, no patient seen in India with this variant. But it does not mean that we should be very calm, still, high alertness is required and it is better to stop many international flights and other transportation systems for that a meeting is being held in Delhi and it is expected that some important decision may come to stop the International flights from December 15, 2021.

Prime Minister Of India has written a letter to the state government stating that the strict SOP should be followed for the passengers coming from other countries and also increase the RT-PCR testing. Hospitals make ready, oxygen plant should make functional, hot spot area should be strictly monitored. It has decided to seal international borders immediately.

M.P. Government decides that 50 % of the capacity of the school college will only be made functional. Attendance would be made on alternate days. Online classes will be continued.   The first Omicron variant had been observed in South Africa and now it has caused panic across the world, among governments, the public, and the stock markets. After adding a number of southern African countries to the red list, the UK government has reimposed mandatory masks in England from Tuesday and will require anyone traveling to the country from abroad to take a PCR test. Omicron is probably the first variant to have scientists worried since Delta became the predominant strain in every country last summer. But how bad it is? What does it mean for future lockdowns – and future deaths? Let us see.....
