There have been two phase trials of the nasal vaccine. At the same time, now the approval for the third trial has also been received from AIIMS. The first trial was done on volunteers for 18 to 60 years; in August the second phase trial was approved. At the same time, the third phase of the trial is still pending. Significantly, the nasal spray vaccine is being made in India by Bharat Biotech. At the same time, research on this type of vaccine is going on in other countries.

What is Nasal Spray Vaccine? The nasal spray vaccine will be given through the nose rather than by injection that will prepare the immune part inside the nose. The nasal spray is considered more effective because the major part of many diseases passes through the nose. In such a situation, the nasal spray vaccine prepares immunity by going into the inner part of the nose and helps in preventing diseases.

Benefits of Nasal Spray Vaccine-
  • We will get rid of injections.
  • Our immunity will be ready inside the nose.
  • We will get rid of respiratory infections.
How many doses and how many days will it take? According to sources, the third phase trial is still pending. After which the second dose will probably be given after 28 days. Research is also going on with trials in Australia, British, England including India. Work is going on in this vaccine in China as well.

The nasal vaccine was used on European cats. Which proved to reduce the virus of Covid-19 by 96 %. The study worked at the Center for Public Health England, a British Government agency. At the same time, in the research of scientists from Lancaster University in England and the Texas Biomedical Research Institute in San Antonio, positive results have also been shown on the lungs from the vaccine.
