Omicron Variant: Omicron has more panic, less danger, says expert…

After facing the global pandemic of Covid -19, people are still under stress and many efforts made to bring regular life in normal mode. Now another variant of Covid-19 mutant named B.1.1.529 has knocked on the door to disturb routine life and made its presence in more than 16 countries.

It has been said that it is very much spreadable and has the potency of spreading 7 times more than the Delta variant. But along with this, there has also been relief news. A South African doctor says a patient infected with the variant has very mild symptoms and can be treated at home.

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, president of the South African Medical Association, said that 7 patients had come to her clinic whose symptoms were different from the Delta variant and were 'extremely mild'. He told that on November 18, patients had come to him who had complaints like body ache and headache. Its symptoms were similar to normal viral fever. So, we did the test in which its report came positive. On the same day, some more patients came to him with the same symptoms. Since then, 2 to 3 patients with similar symptoms are coming to him.

Dr. Coetzee is the same doctor who first identified the Omicron variant. He said that the patients who are coming now have very mild symptoms and they do not need to be hospitalized. Such patients can be treated at home. They also reported that, unlike the Delta variant, the Omicron-infected patient neither smelled nor tested positive nor did his oxygen level drop.

So, don't be panic but take utmost precautions as taken in the time of Covid-19.

Stay healthy, stay safe...
